Mirror Wounds

Whenever I look in the mirror ;
I look at the reflection before me.
The only words that pops up in my brain.
'Ugly'
'Fat'
'Stupid'
'Worthless'
'A Mistake'

I keep telling myself I'm wrong,
But the mirror wounds
are too deep to mend.
The mirror wounds I received
Makes me hate every inch of my body.
The reflection before me
Keeps telling me I'm
'Ugly'
'Fat'
'Stupid'
  'Worthless'
  'A mistake'

Yet I get told by my friends and family
Even strangers
That I'm
'Beautiful'
' "perfect" '
'Intelligent'
'Needed'
'A gift'

I just can't seem to tell myself different
Since these mirror wounds

I've received
Are too deep to mend.

A/N Hola lost boys and girls! It's Ace again. I wrote this for my writing class in fourth grade about what I saw in the mirror versus what other people saw when they looked at me. Long story short I made my teacher cry. The little picture at the bottom of the poem is just a little reminder that mirrors only Tell have the truth. I love you, stay strong, and always remember your worth it.
