When Selena's mother marries her new soon to be step-father, her and her sister Bella aren't too fond of the idea. This caused Selena and Bella to move in with her new step-father George, his two sons, and his daughter.
After Selena meets her new family, she finds them pretty reasonable, except for her oldest step-brother, Derek, who's six months older than her, yet still in the same grade.
The only decent quality in Derek is that he's best friends with the one and only, Logan Lerman, who Selena quickly develops feelings for, however, Derek disapproves.
Along with Selena liking Logan, her new friend Miley has a thin with both Derek and Logan, interferring with their friendship.
