winter in wonderland.
my hands are stretched out
the snow flakes stinging them like unnecessary needles
freezing me
destroying me
but I think
i know
that people will enjoy looking at my deteriorating body
my endless golden locks will fill their bodies to the brim with envy
and my pink dress will stand out, glowing like neon
against the dull, lifeless snow
like a perfect trophy of death
but for now, until someone stumbles upon me
unable to wake my frozen body up
i will condone this broken ice
in the middle of this scorching wasteland
trying to ignore the frostbite as it chokes me
a lone survivor
the last one
against all of the other bodies that have turned dull, too
then I wonder
will I be dull when I leave?
will my skin turn a lifeless grey just as theirs has?
will my dress drain itself of every glistening color?
the memories?
the laughs?
but honestly,
i don’t care
i don’t care.
people will notice.
and that is all that I need for my
winter in wonderland.
