The Golden Tree
The first time I held you in my arms
Under the roof of precious leaves
Sheltered from the world
The moment belonged to us.
I heard you within my loving embrace whispering
I offer you my life, my heart.
We are one under this magnificent tree,
And the flower named love thrives in its shade.
We listened to the soft singing sound of golden leaves in the wind
With eternity’s first kiss
Through deep darkness and soothing light,
Our hearts became one.
I promised you my eternity;
And after time without end, I shall return to the golden tree,
To plant our one heart
On the very spot of our first embrace
And beneath its golden roof, secure in the shade
Let true love’s flower bloom once again.
