Vision

Visions of you and I growing old together

till the day we die.

You tell me you love me and tears run

down my eyes.

Not tears of sadness but, tears of joy

tears of relief.

I've waited so long to hear you say

those three words.

And here you are telling me

and I can't believe

You waited till now when I can't

say it back.

When our lives are quickly heading

down two separate tracks.

I thought things were so sure between us

just you and I against the world.

We were in control of our destiny.

But, fate had another plan unfortunately.

It took you away from me physically

leaving my heart broken and bruised.

Having to deal with all these emotions,

not knowing what to do.

To ease the pain I pushed them all

away. Putting up a wall to hide.

I thought I would never love again

until he came into my life.

Although it is pale in comparison to the brightness of the

sun which was our love.

My damaged heart is learning to open up again.

Sometimes I think it unfair to him that I am not fully his.

Then I realize no matter how much I wish things to be different.

I can not change what is done and even though my vision has

changed I smile because I do not regret what has passed.

I am thankful for the love I have learned and the strength that it

has brought me and my vision is reborn.

This is a revised poem I worte a long time ago!

I'm just a little rusty!!!!!!! Never less hope you like! =)
