My thoughts are of a dark abyss
I ponder wether I would even be missed
For months now I've been left alone
Stuck with thoughts left unknown
Too many tears I have had to conceal
Why, oh why can't I feel?
Feel like the others with their laughs and smiles
Nothing seems to make this worth the while
Near and far I have searched
Wondering why I'm here on earth
Slowly, slowly, I turn pages
Finding what I've needed in ages
"His divine power has given us everything we need for a Godly life."
Yes! Yes!! This was the end of my strife.
A savior, a hero, this is what I'd been looking for
A rich man, come to save the poor
Nailed to a cross, pinned with my mistakes
He had shown me amazing grace
Jesus, Jesus. New tears fall.
Dead and buried beneath an old stone wall.
Darkness and gloom spread throughout
The people realized they killed the one they could not live without.
Three days later, risen from the dead
Walks a man with thorns no longer to his head
Making disciples, around the man travels
I am going to make His efforts worth the while
I will tell people of my fatal try
And how God would not let me die
He had watched as His holy Son had been killed
No more of this!..I silently willed.
No more death! Jesus came to save
Being crucified, he had faced the grave
He died so I wouldn't have to.
But of this, few knew
I will spread the Word
Of His light and grace, in our dark and sinful world.
