James's first gp2 race

It was James's first time on the grid he was nervous he had done karting but never raced at speeds of 180mph and as soon as those red lights went green there was no turning back. James was being sick in the bath room he had always got sick from being nervous before the start of a race. James had finished being sick and sat Calmly while watching the mechanics get the car ready. The car was ready there was only 30 minutes before the race. James got his suit and helmet on and got in the car. James's dad Dean said
"give it your best shot I think if u put enough effort in it u can get on the top 10 and grab a few points."
"Ok I think I can get at least in the top 8. " James explained "maybe in the top 5 with no problems."
There was only 5 minutes left till the race so the mechanics pushed the car onto the grid. With 3 minutes to go they did a warm up lap James couldn't get the tyres hot but there was nothing he could do he was 5 feet from his grid position so he lined up on the grid. 30 seconds to go the red lights turned on. "
"5, 4, 3, 2 ,1 go go go!" Martin Brundle shouted with excitement.
James launched off the line from 15th going straight to 12th he went round the first bend pushing and shoving he managed to climb to 11th. Lap 15 of 50 James pits and on his way out another driver crashes straight into the side of him and he has to get a know front wing the next time he stops. Lap 28 the Pistons going as quick as lighting the car going super sonic speed Jamie manages to pass Alex Lynn and moves up to 10th. James's heart racing to try and get top 10 in the race constantly saying to himself
"don't muck this up now"
He was on lap 49 and he saw a gap to get through to cars so he passed them and managed to get 8th and Scored 4 points. The team celebrated it was there first points in 2 years.
