I ponder as you afloat in the sky
The days ending by the mournful nights
With your wings open far away you fly
And give me the years of dread and fright
Behold me as you depart for Heaven
This sketch of twisting lines of shadow
I shall grieve as a wandering raven
While you leave the dark gates of sorrow
Remember me in your golden palace
In the company of luscious angels
As I slowly die in bitter loneness
By the altar of life in your chapel
