The real me,
That hides behind this mask,
Of happiness,
Of joyfulness,
Of love.
I hide my fear.
My depression.
My sorrow.
I try to live a normal life.
To be happy,
With my friends.
No matter what I do,
Or what I see,
The dark encircles me.
Keeping me from the light.
From all that I love.
Leaving fear in its place.
But in the end,
I only see,
The darkness,
Encircling me.
