Poem 29

Take a dip into my pool of pain

pane glass window of where we used to see

our lives together

Taste a bite of all my fears

Like the thought of you leaving

or me dying alone right here

Here have a glass of my love

watch it glisten under the chandeliers

Place your lips to the rim

and remember what we had

For a moment it's like we can begin again

But again and again I hear the violent screams of our past

At last I clawed my way free

To turn back now would be eagerly giving into insanity

Besides I've held onto love in its entirety

And it wasn't you who saw and set me free
