Christine’s P.O.V

As the week passed by, it became Wednesday. I had promised Gabriel to help him with some math today after school. I tried to forget about Emma and Coraline, who terrified had told me about Jason McCann, the other day. But was it the right thing, to just forget it? I didn’t know. But right now I wouldn’t let it bother me. What I wanted was helping Gabriel, with his home works. Emma and Coraline obviously talked about it like I was going to make babies with his friends.Earlier today I had met Gabriel once again out on the parking lot, and had been driving to his place. This time I had actually remembered to inform my parents about it. I was pretty relieved that they were so cool about it. But after all, I was 17 years old. It wasn’t really theirs business if I wanted to help someone with math.

As I stepped down from Gabriel’s Ducati, and down on the gravel way, I looked up at the house. Pretty impressing how just 5 boys could pay for such a mother. Following Gabriel into the house, the familiar smell of the house greeted my nose. How in the world could they live in such a stench?

“No way, isn’t that Miss Dion?” Geronimo was the next to greet me, the well-known smirk playing on his lips. Geronimo wasn’t attractive like Jason, Dakota or Gabriel was. He was kind of chubby, and had brown curly hair. He was like a cuddly toy.

“Hey Geronimo.” I smiled back. He was defiantly the sweetest of all the boys, so far.

"Hey gay pig." Geronimo smiled at Gabriel, gently nudging to his shoulder.

"You’re the only one home?" Gabriel yawned, lifted his eyebrows.

"No, McCann is down in the basement." Just the mention of his name gave me chills.

"We expect to have guests later." Geronimo winked at Gabriel, who nodded back.

"Shall we?" Gabriel looked over at me before he headed up stairs.

I followed Gabriel upstairs before I entered his room.

"I'm not usually this.. But I 'm really glad you bother to help me. " Gabriel suddenly said, shutting the door behind him. I smiled to myself and sat down on the bed.

"You're welcome."

After about half an hour with equations I sat back, my back resting against the wall.

"Gabriel?" I jumped a little bit when I heard my own voice.

"Yeah?" He murmured back, obviously not affected, as I was to hear my voice.

"Who are you even?" I giggled, wrapping my arms around my legs.

He laughed and looked up from the book.

"Well, I'm Gabriel Edwards." He said, looking ironically at me as if that was all there was to know. I playfully slapped him on the shoulder, still giggling.

Okay, okay...Well, I'm nineteen years old. This my final year in school…" He looked questioningly at me as if he did not really know what to say now.

"Why don’t you live not with your parents? " I smiled, not wanting our conversation to stop.

Suddenly, the playful smile disappeared and the green eyes shone not nearly as clear. There was a tinge of shame and sorrow hidden in his eyes. He shut them close and locked me out of the world I had only seen a brief glimpse of.

"Actually, I'm from England. Or well, my parents are anyway." He muttered.

"But they were idiots. I don’t even know if they wanted me. I came over here to go to a Christian school. But I ran away, and yeah. I ended up here. Not that I'm complaining." He smiled, but the smile was soon replaced with despair.
