I groaned as my alarm went off who the hell woke up at 7 in the morning on a Saturday, oh wait my mom! She smiled humming to her self as she opened all my curtains, “honey breakfast is ready wake up Veer and Mahee I want you down stairs in 10 minutes” she said waking out of my room.

I jumped out my bed regretting it as Goosebumps covered my skin, I liked to sleep in my shorts and a tank but it wasn’t a good idea when you had the coldest room in the house. I walked to my bathroom lazily brushing my teeth, I heard my mom call out for me again, I slipped pajamas over my shorts and walked into Mahee’s room. I jumped on her making her slap my face, I smiled and opened her blinds knowing it was gonna irritate her, but at least she would get out of her bed.

Then I walked into Veers room, knowing he was awake but probably talking to one of his many girlfriends. I banged on his door telling him to come down stairs for breakfast. I smelled pancakes smiling as I rushed down stairs. My mom smiled as I got my fork and knife, I knew she’d waken me up before so I could have my pick of flavor.

I took one blueberry and one plane pancake and walked to the kitchen table. I sniffed the pancakes smiling as I took a bite out of the food. It was great food to have on the weekend. Mahee and Veer made there way to the table after about 5 minutes. But they didn’t really get the pick of pancakes. My dad walked in on mine and Veers argument.

I put my hand on his hand, his back stiffened as my dad came to sit beside him, “hey dad” Mahee and me both said in unison. Veer gave him the nod of his head since is ego was just as big as my dads. But they had the hearts of teddy bears. “So how was you performance yesterday” dad asked, my eyes lightened up at the fact he had actually remembered, “it was great dad you should have come, we were actually sold out” I explained happily. He nodded his head still staring at me as I went back to eating.

“So what do you plan on becoming then” he asked, “im not sure but definitely something to do with science” I replied. He stiffened “well then what’s the point of drama he asked. Mahee caught my eyes and I frowned, he was never going to get it. “Because I want to, I enjoy it and it shouldn’t affect you if I’m not going into drama” I replied a little bratty.

He didn’t reply so I went back to talking to my mom about our performance, she was genuinely interested since she came to all my plays, except this one. “Mahee honey, it’s your turn to wash the dishes, and I know Aisha did them for you last time so get to it” she said sternly. No one could even imagine how much Mahee hated chores and she was always stuck with washing dishes. Veer smirked getting a punch in the arm from Mahee.

I walked towards my dad, knowing I needed to talk with him, no matter how hard core he was I knew he loved me to bits. “Dad don’t be mad, you just have to know that its my passion and that doesn’t mean I want to make drama a career”, My dad pulled me into a hug at that “don’t worry about it bhata, imp just stressed about Veer that boy really needs to learn about getting over things”. I smiled “ill talk to him dad” I called.

I ran up stairs “Veer are you going” I asked, it was always a Saturday morning tradition to hit the gym together. He nodded his head “yeah go start the car ill be there in 10 minutes he said walking to the bathroom. I slipped on my black sweats and kept on my purple tank top. I grabbed my gym bag and water bottle heading down stairs. I quickly put my hair in a bun buttoning my jacket. Mahee walked down stairs with her gym bag as well, I put my hands in my hips “and where do you think your going” I asked.

She smiled guiltily “I’m gonna be bored, and I don’t want to spend quality time with dad” she whined, I sighed motioning her to follow. We both sat down in the car Veer came to my rescue, my head was starting to pound at the amount of questions she had about Salman, at one point I started to wonder what was so special about to him
