The Day You Left

Siting next to you holding your hand tight,

Hoping you don't vanish out of sight.

Shedding all my pained, cold tears,

Hoping they would wash away all my unwanted fears.

Staying up praying your life won't be taken,

And make all my nightmares reawaken.

I prayed to the Lord,

And he gave me his word.

But the next day when I went to see you,

All I talked to was an empty bed and pretended it wasn't true.

On that day I was forced to say goodbye,

Standing there wishing this day was all a lie.

The days blurred painfully together,

Till one day my heart was bitten by the cold weather.

I went to see where you quietly lay,

I cried my tears onto your grave the whole day.

He left and took my heart with him,

From that day my life was grim.

I loved him and love him still,

Just like I promised him I always will.

So meaningless and lonely,

Left me with one choice only.

I went to the place where we first met,

My choice was made and mind was set.

Today i was going to find you,

This was a fact I knew to be true.

But they stopped me and took me away,

They didn't let me go, they made me stay.

Now I'm stuck in this white cold room full of fear,

Knowing that the day I meet you again will never be here..
