All I ever wanted was the world

*~*~*~*

"Shit," Raphael cursed again, this time grabbing my alarm clock and throwing it through my room. In all those years I'd known him, I'd never seen him this way. He was always cool and collected. I was usually the one with a temper.

"Calm down," Daniel grabbed Raphae'ls shoulder and pushed him down. "You need the rest after you've given her your energy."

"What?" I sat up straighter looking the two boys in the eyes. "Given me his energy?"

Raphael heaved a loud sigh. "Great job, Dan. You can go explain it to her because I'm not doing it."

Daniel turned to me and rubbed the back of his neck, looking like a doctor who as going to deliver me some bad news. "Cara, certain people have certain gifts and my gift is that I can control energy flows. When you wouldn't wake up Raphael gave me his energy so I could pump it into you. It's what woke you up."

For a couple of seconds I was quiet, looking with wide round eyes at Daniel. "So you're supernatural?" I flinched at the almost hysteric edge to my voice.

"Yes."

"And you?" I turned to Raphael, wishing he was going to deny it and say this was all some huge joke. But instead he just stared at me, his blue eyes thoughtful and calculating.

"Me too."

I let out a shrill laugh. "Right, and what may your 'gift' be?" I air-quoted the word gift with mock in my voice. I noticed Raphael's hurt face at my tone but it left me completely cold.

"I can heal people," he said with a quiet voice. With his eyes he asked me to understand but I couldn't. I simple couldn't. This was too much to take.

I snorted and stood up instantly. "You two believe this for real?"

"It is true, Catherine," Raphael said.

The use of my real name made enraged me even more. He never called me that way so why now? "Don't call me that. You know I hate that name."

"Oh, so you're fantasy boy can call you that in your pretty dreams but I can't?" he snapped, sitting up in anger only to be pushed down by Daniel.

"You don't know anything about that," I growled, stalking to my walk-in closet and grabbing the best clothes I had. I settled for a skin tight white cocktail dress with a leather jacket and a pair of six inch Louboutins with spikes.

I was going back to my old life. The one as the queen bee of my high school. The girl guys wanted and girls wanted to be. I was sick and tired of the sweet and nice Raphael had created after my mother died.

I'd always been the most popular girl of the school. The one you always read about in stories, who was the enemy of the the main character. The gorgeous bitch whom everyone loved to hate.

After my mother's dead that all changed. I was heartbroken and Raphael picked up the pieces, making sure I wouldn't become who I was before. He made me see that it was of no use to be mean to people.

But right now, he could stick all of that where the sun doesn't shine.

I styled my hair and applied my make-up to perfection. At last I grabbed my Hermès Birkin bag and the jewelry that had been laying for too long in my drawer. I grabbed almost everything I had from my golden Rolex to the 3 karat diamond neckless my dad gave me for my birthday.

Half an hour after I left the room, only to find the two boys still sitting on my bed. I halted in the middle of the room and placed my hands on my hips, quirking my eyebrow. "What are you still doing here?"
