Dani's POV
"Sorry po, it's stage 4 cancer." ito ang mga salitang narinig ko mula sa kwarto ni papa. may cancer c papa? kaya pala panay ang selos niya dahil gusto niya akong parating makasama. ang tanga2 mo talaga Dani! Manhid ka! pano mo to nagawa kay papa?! (umiiyak si Dani. hindi parin siya makapaniwala)
Araw-araw, si Dani na ang nagbabantay sa papa niya. sinisigurado niya na walang makakapagpaalis sa kanya sa tabi ni Anton. masaya naman ang papa niya at lolo, lola, titos at titas niya sa ginagawa ni Sabine kay Anton. alagang alaga niya ito pero isang araw, habang nakahiga silang dalawa, yakap2 ni Dani ang papa niya. naramdaman niya na hindi na ito humihinga.
"Pa? gising na uminom ka na ng gamot." natatakot na ginising si anton
Hindi parin Gumigising si Anton.
"Papa, gising na papa ko. iinom na yan ng gamot."
Hindi parin..
"Papa hindi na yan magandang biro pa eh!" Umiiyak si Dani
Tinawag niya ang buong pamilya na nasa sala.
"Mommy? si papa!" naiiyak niyang sinabi ito. dali dali naman silang pumunta sa kwarto.
Wala kang maririnig kundi iyak at hagulgol. wala na si Anton pero napansin ni Dawn ang sulat sa mesa. sinulat ito ni Anton bago siya namatay.

Maybe the end has come. i'll go ahead. Thank you for everything that you've done for me and our family. thank you for loving me even though I know that you love someone else but still I am the one that you marry. I hope i let you feel how much I love you. im sorry for my shortcomings as a husband. thank you for giving me three beautiful children. i love you so much. pls take care of them. i'll go with a thought that you'll be happy with the man that you loved before. i can see that he still loves you and you still love him. Dawn, find a man that will make you happy, its Richard! go back to him. thank you very much honey. I hope i make you proud with all my achievements. Always remember that i will guide you everyday. and im so proud of you, I love you Goodbye.

At first, i really don't believe in love at first sight but when I first saw you in the hospital, I just cant stop crying. I've loved you my whole life Dani. Always remember that papa is so proud of you. Im sorry for my short comings as a father. you know how much I love you. Thank you for letting me feel how to be loved by a sweet, caring, thoughtful, loving daughter like you. you know, even though you're not my real daughter, but you came from my heart. you're so special to me dani. take care of your siblings and esp your mom. maybe this time, your true wish will come true, a complete family. please tell your dad to court mommy na. :) i love you my baby!
