12: Ripples

I walk on the sand by the shore

The sea is infinite but lonely

The waves touch my feet

Their voices sound like melancholy

A push makes me walk a bit farther

My body is cold and white

A storm underneath pulls me

Till I only see a point of light

Finally, I close my eyes

As water steals my breath

Then I wake from the nightmare and say,

"I'll have a walk by the shore instead."
