Daisy 11

Doting Parents of a Baby Daughter...
Glass Slippers They Joyfully Bought Her.
As
With High Hopes the Proud Papa and Mama Beamed,
For
The Child of Promise They Named Christine.
Her Glass Slippers Remained Pristine...
'Till Later Years,
When Sullied By Society's,
Misguided Dreams.
Papa and Mama so did Weep,
For the Slippers of Hope,
Snatched off Christine's Feet.
With No Regret For Such Disrespect...
Her Slippers were Chiseled,
'Till Cracks the Length of them Began to Form--
Society's Path,
She was Forced to Conform.
Betrayed Became Papa and Mama,
While Forlorn Overshadowed Christine...
As
The Cracked Glass Slippers,
Were Bitterly Unbecoming,
Of Her--
Princess Christine,
Whose Doting Papa and Mama,
Slaved Away,
For a Path They Hoped,
Would Make Their Child of Promise,
A Mighty Fine Queen Someday.
