Lies

The distorted goggles of adoration
Strapped firmly to her eyes
She stumbles up the cliff-face,
Scaling a wall of lies

Innocence, a halo surrounding her head
Notice a telltale glance
Hanging onto hevean,
Gives him a second chance

A third a forth a fifth and more
Stumbling, mumbling on a land woven with mines
The goggles crack to pieces
And now show themselves, the lines

All she saw was good in him
He could do no wrong
But now she sits in the broken valley
Singing, alone, her song.

" The distorted goggles of adoration
Strapped firmly to her eyes
She crashes down the cliff-face,
It's time she says her goodbyes."
