Do you love me now?! [Alex Gaskarth] Chapter 37

[A/N: There is a little bit of a jump. I know how I want to start this chapter. <3]

Emily's pov...

"You've got a decision to make Emily. Since you came here you've been in so much trouble! You've got into fight's, your best friend travelled over here to see you! It's either you come home..." My mum didn't need to finish.

My eyes we're wide, as was my mouth.

"I've got to go back to the hospital in two weeks! You can't just make me leave!"

"Emily you need to be at home, not gallivanting aroung here!"

Alex's hand gripped my own, I shook my head, trying to keep myself calm. My gaze moved to my Aunt, who was sitting silently at the kitchen table.

"You're seriously going to just sit there Aunt Mary?! You're not even going to try and help me out?!" I asked her, all she seemed to do was look at me.

"I'm sorry sweetie, I can't do anything." She muttered, moving her gaze to the table.

"Why is NOTHING simple?! Why can't I just live my life the way I want to?!" Spinning around, I dropped Alex's hand making my way upstairs.

"Emily! Don't you dare walk away from us! We're your parents and you're coming home with us right NOW!"

"Whatever." I muttered, walking into my room. My breath caught in my throat as I looked around. Everything was wrecked, not that I had expected differently, but when you're running for your life you don't really notice these things. Carefully making my way towards the bed, which happened to be the only thing seemingly intact. I gently sat down, looking around me, sighing I leant back against the wall.

"You okay?"

Jumping slightly, I smiled at Alex as he made his way through the room.

"If I'm honest? No. I just want things to be easy, is that such a hard thing to happen?"

"No it's not but you've got to decide what you want. You're 18 not 8. Whatever you decide to do I'll support you."

Looking at him, I felt relief. He was right, I was 18, I did need to make my own decisions and live my own life. I wouldn't and couldn't be dictated to any longer.

"Can you go downstairs, I'll be down in a second." I asked quickly, worry flashed face. "I will be down I promise."

Hesitantly he stood up, making his way to the door. I watched as he walked out, his footsteps decending downstairs.

I stood up, grabbing my suitcase. This is going to be where I decide what I want to do.

Carefully making my way downstairs, I went into the kitchen. Watching as they all spun around, I saw Alex's face drop, my eyes began to sting..

"Can I talk to you for a sec Aunt Mary?"

Nodding her head she stood up, my parents also started to move.

"No, just Aunt Mary." I snapped, leading her out of the house.

"What's wrong Emily?" She asked, concern filling her tone.

"I need your help. You're the only one that can do what I need." I started, watching as a smile formed on her lips.

"What're you planning?"

"Come on the sweetie we need to get going!" My mum yelled, standing at the door of the rental car.

"I'm going with Aunt Mary, you don't have to like it." I told her, watching as her face hardened. Without complaints both of them got into the car.

"This is really goodbye then?" Alex muttered, hugging me gently.

"I'll be back before you know it, I promise. Thank you for everything, can you thank the others for me aswell?" I felt his head nod on my own, closing my eyes, I jumped slightly when the car horn beeped. Huffing in frustration, I began to look up towards Alex, before I could utter a word his lips crashed into my own.

"I love you, you don't realise how much I'm gonna miss you." Alex mumbled against my lips.

"I love you too and I think I do realise more than you know." Giving him one last kiss, I walked to the passenger side of my Aunt's car. I slipped into the passenger seat, not moving my gaze from Alex until he was out of sight as we drove away.

"Do you think this plans going to work?" Aunt Mary asked, turning up the radio slightly

"I have no idea, but I think it's the best thing we could do."

Moving my gaze to the window, I watched as the scenery began to change. I only hoped my plan didn't fail.
