chapter eight: revenge chase

He looked up quickly. "What are you doing here?" He asked curiously

"Running away from the girls and you?" I said casually taking a seat next to him. "Just came here to think." He said emotionless "What about?" I asked knowing there'd have to be something wrong if he was here late at night.

"I know this may be a stupid reason to be sad about but there's this girl Aubree she and I-." He started but I couldn't help but interrupt. "Aubree Winston?" I asked nervously.

What are the chances that it's bitchy Aubree right? He wouldn't like someone like that right?

"Yeah her, you met her already?" He asked curiously and hope in his eyes. "Yeah I kind of did she's...something." I replied not wanting to ruin his image of her. Why would he ever go for someone like that? He's too sweet.

"She's definitely something, we've been secretly one and off for a long time now and no one knows because the group isn't very fond of her but I am." He says looking at his shoes. I can see why they aren't. I thought to myself. "Well what about her is making you come here late at night." I ask continuing the conversation.
" I just I like her a lot but she broke up with me today because she says my friends are too mean to her and I never do anything about it but the thing is I'm never there to do anything about it." He explains

All I can think about it is the encounter Ellie and I had with her today which probably had something to do with it. Now I felt bad.

"Listen Harry if you like this girl a lot I think you should prove it to her by telling your friends that she's important to you and if they're really your friends they'll suck it up and support you no matter what." I said speaking for myself as well that I will now try not to disrespect her for Harry's sake.

"Thanks Mary I think you're right." He smiled as he leaned in to squeeze me into a long hug. Of course I hugged back but I didn't know how to feel about the whole Harry and Aubree thing.

Whilst hugging we suddenly hear a voices. "Aww you guys are adorable."
"What's going on here mmm?"

We let go and I start feeling my cheeks burn in embarrassment because it wasn't what they thought. By they I meant Nicole and Eleanor who had Shirley tied up and drenched from water next to them. "What the fuck is going on you girls are weird." Harry said laughing when he saw Shirley tied up.

"We taught Shirley a little lesson." Nicole said "Right Shirley?" Eleanor added evilly. Shirley looked over to be and mouthed run. "Now it's Mary's turn!" Nicole yelled zooming towards me.

"Run Mary run!" I can hear Harry and Shirley chanting as Eleanor and Nicole chased me around the school. We looked like little freshman running around campus but I didn't care, I really did not want to go through whatever Shirley did.

I ran as fast as my little legs can take me not even knowing where I was going. But I think I ran fast enough to leave the girls behind because I didn't hear their foot steps anymore. I turned a corner and almost bumped into Liam. "Woah there!" He said grabbing me before I take another step and almost drop him. "What's going on?" He said. I heard running and I just quickly pulled him into a corner. "What's-" he was about to talk but I shut him up. "Hush." I said gently putting my finger on his lips. He awkwardly looked at my finger stopped talking. He only stayed quiet for a matter of seconds. "Why are you hushing me?" He said. "Just hush." I whispered as I heard the girls passing by.

"Okay now you can talk." I said with a regular voice now. "Why we're we hiding?" He asked "Cause, you didn't get the video I sent you?" I smiled "Oh that yeah I did that was hilarious." He said laughing

I snorted "Right well funny things come with consequences." I said "They were so angry and well they already did pay back to Shirley and now I'm scared and here we are." I smiled as he chuckled "Well I can see why, those girls are a scary bunch." He said

"I know and I barley met them this morning." I said laughing.

"So uh where are you going now." He asked "Uh I have no idea maybe sleep on one of the benches here." I said

"You know you can always come to my dorm you can sleep with uh me or there." He said as blushing as he cleared his throat. " I guess I could use a place to sleep today." I said smiling at him

"Well alright what you waiting for hop on my back let's go." He said he said leaning down for me.

"Okay but are you sure I'm not as light as you think." I laughed. "I'll be fine so hop on new girl." He said still leaning down so I can jump. I smiled as I hopped on his back.

He ran to the guys dorm. I laughed as he almost tripped over his own feet.

When we finally made it he put me down and kind of hid me since I'm not supposed to be here. He quickly took off his jacket and handed it to me. "Put this on and pull up the hoodie." He ordered and I quickly did what he said.

"Hurry run to the elevator." He said

"Okay." I said running to it we made it inside and he click the button. "Here we go." He said

Out of all the scary things I've done while I've been here this one by far is the scariest. Why you might ask. I know running away from the dean sounds a little scandalous but I was with a group so it didn't really matter.

This one is more scarier because I'm going to a boys' dorm who I barley even know.
