<Cassy's POV>

In the form room, Becky was still blabbering on about something random, and Josh was sitting quietly near her reading the latest in him extremely large collection of books. I knew I should be paying attention to Becks, but my mind kept wandering off to that boy I had seen. It was like his face was printed behind my eyes, so every time I blinked I could see him.

Just then, Mrs Premin, out form teacher walked in snapping me out of my daze.

"Good morning everybody. I hope you have had a refreshing holiday and are now ready to work again," she said in her snooty posh voice. Even though she didn't say it out loud, we all knew she thought herself better than us because we go to a comprehensive and she went to a posh all gir... oh god. My train of thought was interrupted by the God personified walking in.

"Oh class, I almost forgot. We have a new student, Romeo Deville."

OMFG, his name was Romeo. An exceedingly beautiful name for an exceedingly beautiful guy. I watched him gaze across the room as if surveying all of us and then stop as he saw me in the back corner. I felt his eyes bore into me with such intensity, I had to look away. No one ever looked at me like that. I'm just ordinary Cassy. The girl who was beat the boys up when they were younger and was always there if you needed her. I looked up again only to see he wasn't standing where he was before. I looked down half relieved and half disappointed? Why was I disappointed? I didn't even know him. He had probably gone to sit by one of the cheerleader.

"Hey, I'm Romeo, is this seat taken?" His voice made me jump.

"Erm...N.No..." was all I managed to stutter. All I could think about was that he wanted to sit by me. That he had just talked to me. His voice sent shivers down my spine. I didn't look up.

"What's your name?" he asked politely.

"Cassandra, but everyone just calls me Cassy....." I trailed off as I looked up. As soon as my eyes made contact with his again, I couldn't look away. It was like a magnet which filled my entire soul with confidence. It was like we were in a bubble. Our own little bubble, which no one could penetrate. I was vaguely aware of Mrs Premin asking me to look after Romeo as he was in all of my classes. I nodded in response.

I was not going to look away.

<Romeo's POV>

Walking into the boring classroom, I couldn't help but hope Beautiful Eyes would be in there. Because I didn't know her real name, I had to settle for calling her Beautiful Eyes as that is what drew me to her. First I noticed a boring nondescript teacher standing in front of a boring nondescript class. I decided to scan the room for any potential talent.

Then I locked eyes with HER. Her eyes drew me in like a magnet, or a black hole. What was it about this girl that made me never want to look away? To want to stand by her side. To hold her in my arms. When she looked away, mind suddenly became clear again. There was nothing special about her I said to myself. Except for her beautiful eyes. She looked confused, and almost like she was debating with herself. I stopped looking at her long enough to look around the room wondering where to sit. There were 3 seats available. The first was by a small dark haired girl, who looked extremely shy. The second was between 2 very fake, very blonde cheerleaders, who were quite disgustingly licking there lips, I think in an effort to look sexy. The third was by beautiful eyes in the back corner. Before I consciously decided where to sit, I had already walked half of the way to the desk.

I saw her look up to where I had recently been standing and then look down with both relief and also a bit of disappointment. I felt a thrill go through my body at the thought of it.

"Hey, I'm Romeo, is this seat taken?" I asked and almost burst out laughing as she jumped, obviously not expecting to hear me.

"Erm...N.No..." She seemed shy, a giant contrast to the confidence and power I had seen in her eyes earlier. Why wouldn't she look at me?

"What's your name?" I asked. I needed to know. The question had started to drive me almost to the brink of insanity.

"Cassandra, but everyone just calls me Cassy....." She trailed of as she looked up and our eyes met.

OMFG. How corny did that sound? But it was like we were the only two people in the world. Only she mattered. Cassy.... Cassandra. The name sounded so beautiful, so unusual, so magnificent, so magic, so..... supernatural. I distantly heard the teacher ask her to look after me for the rest of the day, saying I was in all her classes.

I felt my soul soar at that, I got to be with her for everything.

I wasn't going to let her go.

Whether it killed me to keep her or not.
