2013
We stood together,
Forever by my side.
We did everything for each other,
Never questioning why.But something in you changed,
Something in you shifted.
Now there's nothing left,
But miles of broken bridges.I told you I'd be there for you,
Forever and ever.
Yet somehow this ended,
And I'm bounded by tethers.I promised you eternity;
Your love I never questioned.
But for you to do the same
Is an unlikely lesson. So here I stand,
Alone at last.
Condemning your name,
And regretting our past.I know you won't remember me,
Neither would I.
But in these final stanzas,
I bid you one last goodbye.Karma will make its way to you,
And I will be at ease.
There falls one more person,
Whom I once wished to please.
