Daddy, There's a Monster Under My Bed!

Daddy! Daddy! why won't you listen!

There is a monster underneath the bed!

I've tried to tell you before as well,

But you just won't listen!

At night he comes,baring teeth, shining in the dark,

Unseen ooze staining the floor, with marks of blood,

And yet you never see what he has left behind,

The broken shell of your once happy child.

The asylum is where you wanted to send me right?

After my screaming filled the night?

Woke you up from your slumber,

But deep down under, he's still there,

Biding his time.

I've already gone away dad!

Beyond where you can, reach!

Now you won't hear me screaming!

Now you can sleep!

But know that you killed me,

Because you never saw,

The monster underneath my bed...
