Hope
Starvation
Vulnerability
Destruction
Poverty
We stick together
We survive, we strive, we die…together
Hope
One word and its all better.
One word and we hang on.
What for?
To crash and burn,
To fall once again.
And yet we believe
We hold on
Hope
One word – repeated – makes it better
One person repeats it, and suddenly
You’re lighter!
A breathe of confidence passes
through you and for a while, you’re
above and beyond
With a mind fired to succeed and
A heart…
A heart determined to climb a mountain that you once thought impossible.
Hope
But, when you fail…it’s the worst feeling in
The world.
You build yourself so high. Like a fool
You believed everything they said.
And when you stand once again at the beginning of the race,
You’re alone…you drown and burn in your sorrow…
Alone
You’re a failure and yet?! They repeat it…just so they can watch you fail?
So is that what it really is?
Hope?
