Chapter 26

***SKY'S POV***

"What happened?" I ask

"Nothing." He says

"No I heard someone yelling." I say

"Sky it was nothing!!!" He yells

I roll my eyes and face the other side of the room.

"You almost lost me you know... And you're treating me like this." I say softly

"Im sorry." He sighs

"I'm just trying to figure out what to do." He says

"He's still alive... Right?" I ask

"Yeah..."

"I uh... Need to tell you something.."

"What?" I ask

"You know your um, you sister was there when it all happened right?"

"Yeah... He let her go.. She got away right?" I ask

"Well yeah... But he got to the house as well."

"Seriously? Right now?" I ask sitting up

"Well no... He's gone now."

"Oh good." I say laying down

"But, he killed..." He looks down

"Who did he kill?" I ask

"Rose." He says

"Oh no..." I tear up

"Well... If I can't find out how my parents are.. You are." I say

"What?" He asks

"Mat please. They're the only family I have left." I say

"I'll try babe. You know it's not that easy. My father wants me to have no contact whatsoever with your parents." He sighs

"Is he going to let me go at some point?" I ask

Mat turns towards me with big pretty eyes.

"You want to leave?" He asks

"Well, I do want you to meet my parents. And I want them to know I'm ok. I want to feel normal again, not a prisoner with her mate."I say slowly

"I don't really know what my dad is planning to do at this point." He says

"Well if he's planning to keep me here forever, I have to figure something out... And you have to help me. Please." I say

"Even if he does keep you here forever, I promise you, he won't lay a finger on you. At least I won't let him..."

I smile as he kisses my forehead.

"How's your mom and sister?" I ask as he stands up.

"I haven't seen them ever since." He says

"Okay." I whisper

The doctor then comes in.

"Hi Sky, how are you feeling?" She asks

"Better." I say

"Well I think you're all good to leave." She smiles

"Thanks." I say as I slowly stand up
Mat rushes to me and grabs my arm.

"It's fine. I got it." I say

He lets go and I start to walk normally.

"I'm gonna go to your room Mat. "

"Ok I'll come with"

"No. I need some time alone."

He looks at me confused and then sits down.

"Ok.."

I walk to the room and sit down. What am I gonna do? This is all my fault. Why did I ever fall in love with Axel. This was a huge mistake. What am I gonna do to fix all this?

I need to face him. If I trick him, he can hurt those I love. I can't risk that. I need to make a move soon, when Mathew isn't aware. He would never let me go. I sneak into the hallway and peek to see if anyone is looking. I then tiptoe down the stairs out the front door.

Wow. That was a lot easier than I expected. I start to walk into the woods, towards the cabin i used to stay at.
I look around and I finally reach the cabin.

"Axel!!" I yell

"Come get me!!"

I look around and it's silent and getting dark out. All I hear is crickets chirping. I sigh and sit down. I wait and I finally hear a crack of leaves in the distance. I look up to see a figure standing there. I slowly stand up, so the figure can see me, and so that I can see who that is. I can already guess who that is... I'm expecting him anyways.
