Have you ever read a book and been inspired by it to write a fan fiction of sorts about it, or a story based off of it? I'm guessing the answer is yes.
I'm also guessing that you've heard of Amanda Hocking (if you haven't, you were most definitely living under a rock). For those of you that haven't, stop reading this right now and Google her.
Anyway, I recently picked up Wake at the library. I had been looking for it for a while. Once I started it, I was completely hooked. It's a great, fun, creepy read, and it inspired me to write Sirensong.
Also, I know there is a Penn in Wake, but I completely fell in love with that name. Don't ask me why.
