It was only a few more days, and the child had grown exponentially. She was about 5 feet now and her ears were more pointed. Her long silver strands of hair lay still in curls against the sterile bed. Her skin seemed to be a bit lighter than her once tanned skin. She was thin and tall. Her toes and fingers were longer. Her eyes opened more normally and her form seemed almost more in adult form. She was wearing a small white hospital gown, which she had already grown out of, once again.

"How could a creature, grow so quickly without substance!?" Dr. Murray said as he approached the being in the room. He analyzed Kechi and poked her seeing if she would respond to any stimulus, but nothing worked. "Lets see if you respond to more... harsh stimulus" he said in a laugh as he began to walk out the room, and then continued. "We are going to find out more about you... Kechi," he stopped and turned with a smirk. "Any way that we can."

A few hours later special nurses stepped in and recorded her growth and for once she had stopped growing. Not even an inch of growth anywhere in the past few hours. The nurses had inferred that Kechi might have reached maturity of some sort, and reported the information to Dr. Murray right away.

"We must begin the test right away!" he was excited and couldn't wait to see what more he could find out about this being. First was the Electro test. Kechi didn't respond with her body at all, didn't move or lift an arm up without being helped, as the nurses tried to pick her up they realized quickly that this task was quite difficult. It was as if to carry a dead person. Or in this case an extremely overgrown infant.  They decided it would be best to roll the bed in and then try to lift her later.

The nurses walked into a different room setting then before. White walls enclosed a bed with metal chains and bright fluorescent light lit up each and every crevice in the room and made it seem so bland and eerie. On the opposite side of the bed was a slightly darker mirrored wall where Dr. Murray was "observing". He watched as the nurses walked in and stared to transfer Kechi onto the strange bed with chain. The stayed quiet not uttering a word or a grunt as they clasped the chains to her wrists and ankles. Kechi looked as if she might have been a deranged child who needs to be hooked up in case she wanted to strangle someone.

"We are ready Doctor." One of the nurses signaled then walked out of the room closing the just as white door behind her. Dr Murray smiled behind the mirrored wall and pushed a button making the bed move gradually into a vertical position. She looked like an innocent prisoner. Her head hung downwards and her silver curls fell over her face. Her arms and legs were stretched outwards and small pieces of wire were taped to her fair skin.

"Alright then let's give her a light shock." The doctor said looking behind him. All the other doctors and nurses stood behind him with straight backs and no expression on their faces. One had a note pad in hand ready to record what happened. He placed his hand on a dial and turned it to one.

Instantly a shock wave of electricity was sent towards the girl. And nothing happened. He turned the dial to two. Nothing once again, not even a flinch could be recorded. He then turned it to three then four, once again not a thing not the slightest response. In his anger and dismay he turned the dial to 10. And this time something did happen. Her hair flew upwards revealing her face .The nurse frantically tried to begin writing but was so afraid that then pen and pad had fallen from her hands and all she could do was stare. The beings eyes had become white and probably angry. The nurses who were once behind the Doctor all fled like the cowardly scientists they were but Dr. Murray stood and watched.

"Amazing."

Kechi's hair flowed in the air seamlessly flowing and her chains held her back from floating off the bed it seemed. Her head was now up right and her skin had a glow about it. Her small hospital gown seemed to want to fly right off with the increasing wind that suddenly filled the room. She was a beautiful creature, which was going to win Dr. Murray millions.  He turned the dial back to zero and stood in awe.

Suddenly fast footsteps could be heard in the hallway as nurses rushed here and there throughout the adjacent test rooms frantically trying to figure out what to do.

"Where is she!" The woman shouted. "Where is my baby!"

Dr. Murray turned his head sharply and a frown was on his face for once. He mumbled "How'd she get past security." As he looked up at his security monitors all the guards were sprawled on the ground. "Lousy, stinkin-..." He walked out of the room and adjusted the collar of his lab coat.

"Well hello there... have you forgotten something."

"I want my child back and I want her now!" Vivian shouted, her eyes red and puffy and she was ready to fight anyone who got in her way even Dr. Murray. Who stood quite a deal taller than her.

"Now calm down there miss. Remember we made a deal. And you have taken the money. You can't change your mind now. It's too late now my dear."

Vivian narrowed her eyes at the man and pointed her index finger poking at his chest. "Now you listen here give me my baby back now or I will take her myself!"

Dr. Murray couldn't help but laugh. Such a small, raggedy looking woman thought she could do what she wanted in his laboratory. She didn't have a chance. His first set of security might have failed him but he had back up. "Security!" he shouted.

Vivian dropped her things and searched in all directions. She had to find the door fast before the "security" came through. I'm here earth mother. She heard a voice say in her head and her eyes grew big as she looked in the direction of the glowing white door. She ran towards it and security was running towards her in black uniforms ready to pull her away. She ducked slid and swung the door open knocking one man to his feet.

"Imbeciles!" she heard the Doctor sneer.

And there she saw her daughter hung up like an animal, worse, like a prisoner. Tears fell from her eyes and she felt even more awful for leaving her child behind. Vivian stood in shock, looking at how large her baby had grown and also at how beautiful she had become.

"Kechi" Vivian whispered running towards her daughter and trying to unhook the chains but she couldn't and didn't know how to.

"Get her you fools!" Dr. Murray barked at the security guards as they ran in once more but in an instant an even brighter glow filled the room and the test subject and her mother were gone.

"No, this can't be... NOOOOO!!!" Dr. Murray yelled enraged. All his hopes and dreams literally vanished into thin air. He was breathing hard and wanted to kick and scream. He was going to get her back no matter what it took. He was the one who was going to be famous with this creature and no one else.
