Freedom.

At one point in our short lives, we have and will experience freedom. Maybe it's small like being able to pick the cereal you want when you go grocery shopping with your mom or dad. Or maybe it's something huge like moving out on your own for the first time.

Either way, freedom.

I knew what it used to be like to be free. To practice it without any arguments from anybody. I used to be able to dance without anyone caring. I could roam the city at night and be lost in my thoughts. I used to be able to just be me, Emery.

But after the incident, freedom isn't a word that belongs in my life anymore.

Imprisoned by other's fear has me under watch. Every move I make is written down to be analyzed to check if I'm okay. Everywhere I go, there's someone I know.

So, freedom.

We all know it. But sometimes, we lose it.
