I hope you like this. This is new, and unplanned [MOSTLY] and definitely subject to plot changes. If you like thrillers, and the like, ths is for you. If you like conspiracy, stick this on your list of stuff to read. And if you have a twisted, sadistic, or masochistic personality...get help... Anywayz, If anyone ever wonders [doubt it, but hey, whatever!] this story came to my head, after watching Downton Abbey [i think it's called that anyway]. Maggie Smith [aka prof McGonagall] was echoing around in my head.....

Maybe she does know a thing or two about magic. Babble aside, here's the story! -->

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A loud clacking noise echoed down an empty stone corridor, and the dull, early morning light bathed everything in an eerie atmosphere, of hidden secrets, and suspicious shadows.

'Mr Mulligan, I don't think you realise the severity of the situation.' Mrs Edwards said frostily, whilst briskly making her way down the dimly lit corridor. Her crisp English echoed off the carefully carved granite, and followed her quick figure, which seemed to blur into the darkness of the corridor.

'But Mrs Edwards...Elizabeth, can't you understand my predicament? From my point of view.' The young voice seemed strained, anxious...desperate.

'I assure you, I do not want to see anything from your perspective. You see, Mr Mullins, there are two types of people. People like me, who get things done when they are needed, meet deadlines. People who understand their role. People who are valued. And then, Mr Mullins, there are people like you. Lazy, dumb, and...expendable. You have until tomorrow, Mr Mullins. Else your role will be terminated. Along with you.' Her voice echoed harshly across the corridor.

'Of course, Mrs Edwards.' The voice that flickered out of the receiver of the phone was shaky and weak. The phone snapped shut.

Her footsteps grew louder, as she continued to walk purposefully though the vacant corridor.

Halfway across London, in a dingy flat, covered in papers, files and shelving, a man screamed in impatience, fury and disbelief.

'Tomorrow?' he exclaimed.
