Falling flakes of powder snow covers the mountain ridge in white. In a run down house in a ghostly village, we lean in close through the winter nights.

You sat in your and Leo's shared house staring out the window as the snow fell down slowly.

Leo had his arms wrapped around you as he nuzzled your neck. He took a deep breath and held you tighter

"The day we met, it snowed then too," you whisper with a smile.

He smiled remembering the day that you showed up to camp as the daughter of Hera (A/N: I know I know but you'll see why later.). He thought he would absolutely despise you but her warmed up to you. Especially when he had set your hair on fire accidentally. The snow fell into your (h/c) hair so perfectly and he knew as soon as he saw you that he couldn't hate you.

I turn my face flushing from the hearth fire and hide into the shadow of your sleeve.

You blushed as you remembered that day two. After your mother had granted your wish you had run to camp to meet Leo. You remembered all too well the jokes he had pulled on you when you first arrived.

"You're so hot you'll make the snow melt," he had said tapping your nose gently. "I'm Leo McShizzle BadBoy Supreme Valdez," he had said introducing himself.

You had smiled feigning innocence for you had met him before, he just didn't know it at the time.

He asked you out a week later and thy one date turned into two and two into three. Months of sweet notes and small gifts paved the path for a year when he first kissed you on the first year anniversary of meeting you. That one year turned into two and once more two into three and Leo has surprised you by showing you a small house outside of camp that he had purchased.

He had smiled as he asked you if you would move in with him.

You didn't hesitate when you said yes.

With spring's coming, I sing with the twittering birds of joyous signs. "What a beautiful voice," you said. And just those simple words made me so happy.

He always said you had the song of a bird and that you could out sing the best songbird. He had compared your song to one of a crane's. Oh the unknown irony in that statement.

It always caught you off guard when ever he commented on your singing as you hummed and chirped along with the birds that were always present in your yard. He always made you smile when he would hold you close and sing quietly with you.

"If one day, I don't sound beautiful anymore, would you still love me?"

But there was always a fear embedded in you. Deep deep down you had your doubts. What if he found out who you really were? You couldn't stand the idea of returning to that life and leaving Leo behind.

"Of course I would," you smile kindly. Slowly your large hand caressed my cheek.

He would always reassure you saying that he would love you until the end of time, and his smile would make your worries melt away. But that time wasn't long to last.

One summer afternoon, fresh leaves aglow, you fell ill from disease.

It scared you to death when you woke up to Leo coughing up blood. His temperature was through the roof and he was sweating constantly. You quickly got ready and after making sure Leo was comfortable, made your way to the doctors. You described the symptoms of the disease to the doctor and he sighed sadly.
