tears barreled down her pale olive cheeks. how, how? thats all she could think of. standing behind a tree as she watched people in black walk by.

empty, thats what she thought. everyone here belonged to her families companies and "friends". the only person who was attending for her, was her long time crush. Caylic Grey, the most silent person u'd ever meet.

not being able to take it any more, she stummbled from the encroching tree line, n slowly walked over towards him. he wasn't cryin or talking. he just stood their. staring at the 6' by 6' hole in the ground.

she stopped next to him. reaching for his hand, but he didn't respond to her presence.

fresh tears sprung in her eyes, as she looked down, deep into the dark hole. she shivered, n grabbed her arm. the long silk white n black dress, caressed the floor, it had an embroderment of beads on the bodice, n black braches extending up to the the chest. her long black hair fell in waves down her back.

she stared at Calyic, his green eyes shown with remorse n regret. "I," he began to whisper, "I'm so sorry Cacey..." he finished.

she smiled, her tears stopping. she reached out towards him again. this time, she grabbed his hand, n didn't let go. she needed him for suport.

sighing, she slowly began to look up. her eyes settling on the white n siver coffin before her.

she gripped his hand n followed him towards the body.

she watched with saddness as he reached up n caressed the cheek of the cold girl.

"i," he whispered again, searching her face, hoping she'd pop up n laugh, or giggle, or stare at him. he chuckeld "i bet u thought i didn't know that u liked me." he laughed out. he leaned forword n kissed her forehead. " i love you." he whispered. staring at her. still hoping she'd wake up.

"u hear me?" he said again. "i, i love you." he repeated.

"i love you. i love you. i love you. i...i..love..." she watched as tears slowly slid down his cheeks. he wasn't wailing or sobbing.

he just gazed at her. waiting for her replay. "dont go..." he whispered, as Casey began to back up. she stopped in her tracks n stared at him. she smiled n chuckled.

"don't leave me." he said again.

his tears dripping onto the girls face. he leaned over n ressed his chin on her.

"i said i love you."

Casey smiled n nodded. "i heard you." she chuckled.

light began to appear behind her. she slowly turned her head to look at the blinding light.

her smile widened.

she turned back towards Caylic, only to see her mother talking to him. she sighed n walked back to his side.

she layed her head on his arm, n held on, she smiled n tuned out her mother trying to make small talk with him.

she stood on her toes n kissed his cheek. she saw his eyes go wide, but he didn't stop her.

she leaned towards his ear, n summoned every thing she had in her to speak to him.

" i've loved you since we we're 9." whispered in to his ear. "n i will always love you. but i must go, n u must let me go."

"no" he whispered. "please" he began again. she put her hand over his heart. "i dont belong here." she spoke. "not anymore. let me go." she said again.

he began to protest, but she continued to press him.

"i'll always be here...always. but you MUST let me go." she said.

she was losing strength n her voice could only caress him. " please."she said. "please let me go."

he bowed his head, silent tears flowed down his face. "i love you." he said again. "i, i wont forget your smile."

she chuckled n she swore he heard it. cause he smiled, dispite him self, he laughed.

his tears still fresh, she kissd him on the lips. soft n warm. she felt him sigh, n lightly touch his lips.

"good bye" she said. "they need me, so im going to go, k?"

"no," he whispered,"see you later."

she smiled n nodded. forgeting he couldn't see it. she walked back towards the tree line n all the while she hummed:

If I die young, bury me in satin

Lay me down on a bed of roses

Sink me in the river at dawn

Send me away with the words of a love song

he smiled, n layed a bright red rose on her chest.

Uh oh (uh, oh)

The ballad of a dove (uh, oh)

Go with peace and love

Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket

Save them for a time when you're really gonna need them, oh

The sharp knife of a short life, well

I've had just enough time

So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls

he finished the song with tears in his eyes.

bending down he kissed the girl once more, n turned to leave. as he walked bye the hundreds of people here for her family, he turned to look at a photo of her smiling. below the picture read:
