On my mind

It's stupid but you've been on my mind a lot... 

When I am alone with just my thoughts, 

The image of you pops up and I realize it's my fault that you're not here right now... 

But I truly believe it was for the best; 

We met and fell in love at the wrong time of our lives. 

You wanted much more than I am ready for, 

I wanted different things that you were unwilling to give,

Yet you were everything I dreamed of. 

I cannot emphasize enough how truly sorry I am...

For the things I did...

For the things I said...

The time spent apart made me realize that the outcome was inevitable.  

Made me realize we had been falling apart for a long time now... 

As time went by, our paths continued to cross.

And things didn't become any easier. 

You may think that I lost much more than my lover, 

But as awkward as it may be, 

I am lucky I didn't lose my best friend.
