"Down in the basement,
demons lie.
They'll make you hurt,
they'll make you cry."
Grandma told dear Claire
"Don't go downstairs,
there's demons there."
Claire listened to her,
Since she was old,
She did what she said,
She does what she's told.
But one day grandma left
and down in the basement
the demons kept.
But a song in the
middle of the night,
From down in the basement,
It gave Claire a fright.
"Little kitty, little kitty,"
the demons sang,
"Little lost cat."
It was a song quite strange.
Curiosity got the best of Claire,
and oh no!
She went downstairs.
And we all know
curiosity killed the cat,
but this story
doesn't end like that.
Quietly she crept down each stair,
To the fate that awaited
poor Claire.
Four men in a cage,
all looking quite strange.
Why, they were in a cell!
Grandma's deranged!
"Little kitty,
Who set you free?
Have you come down here,
to visit me?"
Towards her
a demon grinned.
He had dark hair,
and was pale skinned.
Another in the back spoke,
one who was quite tan
and had no scent of
a matured man.
"Have you brought us food?
We haven't had anything,
that old woman's screwed."
"That's my grandmother
you're talking about!"
Said Claire,
with a bit of a pout.
"She's starved us,
and locked us in this cage.
That woman is crazy,
driven mad with age."
One stated calmly back.
