"What should I do while you paint me?" Alexander asked with a smile. "Just be natural." I giggled. And he did just that. I sat there on the shiny warm blades of grass trying to paint his presence. I looked back from Alexander to the painting back and forth, being distracted by his beauty, betraying my painting. I watched as he got up, ran a hand through his smooth, black hair and walked slowly to the lake nearby.

The setting of the sun hit Alexander with light so beautiful, you couldn't believe it was real. He looked back at me, and shot me one of his million-dollar smiles. As his eyes pierced through mine, they sparkled. I had completely betrayed my painting now. My eyes were glued on Alexander. I thought it would be nice to paint him and try to capture his beauty, because I was unable to take pictures of him. But you can never fully grasp such perfection with just a picture, much less a painting, no matter how hard you try. Alexander was perfect.

I don't know what it was about him that made me turn away from everything I loved, to fill him as my number one priority. He was much more gorgeous than any photograph I could take, any art I could draw, or any music I could make. Alexander made everything in my life worth living. He meant everything to me.

The loud growls of thunder woke me up harshly. I realized that Alexander was gone. My pillow was wet. And my eyes burned.
