Going up, going down,
going around and around,
which way the staircase will end no one knows,
how far down will you go?
Each step loudly goes,
tap,tappy,tappy,tap,tap echo echo.
That staircase which would take you higher and higher,
many say they have been to the top but most of them are liars.
The spooky staircase which waits for you in the middle of the room,
waiting for you to climb to the top, to your doom.
Don't you wonder what waits for you at the top of the staircase,
even if you go halfway your'll still get a taste,
of the horror that waits for you on the 13th step,
so on the ground floor my feet are kept.
I once knew a girl that went all the way up,
this girl never had much good luck.
She thought what she experienced was a dream,
but after that 13th step all I heard was a scream.
She said she would go no further than step number ten,
but after those last three I never saw her again!
I'm no fool I will climb up all the way,
as long as I want to live another day.
That 13th step calls for me each and everyday,
But I'm not worried because I am not afraid!
