'Best friends'

                       Carl pov:
I sit up fastly and panic this isn't my cell I feel ruffling next to me I look down to see Adam? I take one more look around to notice I'm in his cell I remember what happened a couple hours earlier, i talked with Adam and he told me what his mom well that bitch did to him it was heart breaking and I swore to myself that tomorrow I would tell my dad about there mom

I remember him wanting to go asleep and wen I tried to leave he asked me to stay with him till he fell asleep I agreed I fell asleep with him in my arms and here I am now

I'm awake in the middle of the night I pull the covers off of me and tuck Adam back in not wanting him to get cold I walk out of his cell and into mine and jump into my bed and fall into a dreamless sleep

-time skip-
I sit up in my bed and rub my eyes trying to wake up as sunshine shines in from the small window in my cell I get up and walk straight to Adams cell to see he's not there I walk down the stairs to see Adam sitting at a table I smile to myself

I look over his shoulder to see a guy about my age i don't know him and I know everyone in are huge group so I pull out my gun and point it at him

He puts his hands and arms up in a 'I'm not hostel' motion but I still ask "who the hell are you" I see out of the corner of my eye Adam looking up at me with his green eyes filled with fear and curiosity but I shift my vision back to the random kid "hey I'm max your dad found me out side of the gate this morning and well I was surprised to see Adam here" I narrow my eyes and sit down next to Adam lowering my gun and ask "how do you know Adam?"

He had this smirk on his face I don't trust but he spoke up "oh me and Adam use to be best friends ain't that right Adam" he says patting Adams head Adam just nods......
