Body of mine
I walked around the building,
It smelt pungent yet clean.
I looked into the rooms and saw,
People going where they'd never been.
Outside those rooms,
Saline rivers flowed.
While the departed souls had,
Their bodies being towed.
I walked on,
And reached the last room,
White walls, white floor, white bed,
Everything was bathed in gloom.
A world weary soul lay there,
Sleeping sound and fine.
I looked through the window and saw,
The worn, lifeless body of mine.
