~Damon~

I woke up, once again, to a girl who I have yet to learn her name. Her face was caked with too much make-up, and her breasts too big for my liking. She was too fake. But when a girl like her shows up to your room late at night, who am I to turn her away? I am the prince after all! Like any hormonal teenage boy, I have urges that I choose not to ignore. Until I meet my mate, I have plenty of ladies lined up to help me with relief.

I'd like to say that I remained innocent for my mate, but I would be lying. Through out my lifetime, the ladies have always found me attractive. I mean, royalty has its perks! It's hard to keep them away!

Grunting, I sat up in bed, suddenly wanting to get away from the blonde bimbo in my bed immediately. This seems to happen a lot. After a night like that, my wolf curses at me in my head and yells about how our mate will hate us if we keep it up. It's not like I don't agree with him, but who doesn't love a prince? A soon to be Alpha King at that? Any girl would dream of having the pleasure of being my mate.

I swung my legs around and stood up from the bed. The blonde should be getting up soon, and I wanted to be long gone before that happened. I quickly took a shower and dressed in a navy blue t-shirt and a comfortable pair on black jeans. I stared at my gorgeous face in the mirror and spiked the front of my short jet black hair with gel. I can't complain about my 6' 4" frame, golden tan skin, and sparkly blue eyes. I was every girl's dream. I made my way back into my bedroom and thanked the heavens that the blonde was still sound asleep. I grabbed a piece of paper and my quill to write her a note:

Dear Beautiful,

I had a great time last night. However this morning, I had to take care of some very important Kingdom business and was unable to greet you. It is unfortunate that this might be the last time I see you, cause you're a very pretty lady.

When you wake up, please collect your things and the guard outside my bedroom will lead you out of the castle and a limo will be sent to take you home. Thank you for everything. X

Prince Damon

I folded up the paper and set it on the nightstand next to her. I was getting very tired of writing these notes. I'm tired of sleeping around with she-wolf sluts, and then never seeing them again. I want my mate! I've been fully capable of finding my mate for 3 years, since I turned 16, but that has yet to happen. I'm tired of waiting!

That's the main reason my parents have decided to host the "Sterling Ball" in my honor. I am bound to find my mate there, because it will be mandatory for every single unmated creature. Once I have found her, we will complete the mating bond, and the royal thrown will be ours.

As I made my way through my doorframe, I saw my main guard, Carl, leaning up against the wall with a bored expression on his face.

"Prince Damon, good morning, sir." Carl announced, straightening his posture and suddenly looking ten times more interested in his job.

I chuckled lightly at his change in attitude when I came in his presence. "Soldier Carl. At ease soldier." I commanded as his face fell to a more relaxed and friendly emotion. Carl was one of the guards that I became to know more personally, and he wasn't afraid of me in return.

"There is a blonde in my room. When she wakes up, I would like you to have her collect her things and escort her to the limo in front. Wake her up if she isn't up before 10, and don't have her looking for me. Make her leave immediately. If there is any trouble, don't be afraid to call more guards." I commanded, lacing only a little bit of my alpha tone into my request.

"Yes, sir. As you wish." Carl bowed his head in respect. Carl has done this many times to many girls that have crossed my path. It shouldn't be anything new to him.

I decided to make my way down to the kitchen and have the chef make me my breakfast. All the servants remembered to bow there heads as I passed and even some went as far to cower away.

"Good," I thought, "they need to know their place. Especially those useless humans."

I made my way to the kitchen and heard easy laughter, which caused my mood to change to joy. I entered through the doorway, and everyone stood up and bowed their head.

"Prince Damon." They all chorused, and I gladly accepted the power that I felt rush through my veins.

"Good morning everyone. At ease." I told them with a friendly smile on my face. They all sat back down and went to the playful banter that they were at before.

I made my way to the chef and ordered my usual, ham and cheese omelette with orange juice. He gladly accepted my order, and I went to find someone to talk to. Across the kitchen, I spotted my sister, Maggie, who was sitting across and giggling at her mate, Will. Jealously coursed through me when I saw her with her mate. She was only 2 years older than me, but she met Will when she was 16. Being the princess, she's lived in the royal castle all her life, and Will has been apart of our army since he turned 14. The day my sister turned 16, she smelt him, mated him, and they've been happy ever since. He is now the General of my army, making both mine and his family very proud.

Sighing, I made my way over to their table, and sat down in the open seat beside my sister.

"Damon! Oh my gosh, I barely see you anymore!" She shrieked pulling me into one of her bone crushing hugs.

Chuckling, I wrapped my arms around her small frame and whispered in her ear, "I missed you too, Maggie."

Pulling back, I look across the table and meet Will's warm gaze.

"General Will. It's nice to see you again. I hope you've been treating my sister well." I stated, reaching my hand across the table for him to shake.

"Like-wise Prince Damon. It's always a pleasure to see you. And yes sir, I would never harm such a gorgeous and perfect lady." He stated with a warm smile, reaching out his hand to meet mine, while out of the corner of my eye I saw my sisters cheeks flush a deep red.

"I hope not. You don't want to know what happens if you do." I replied in a playful manner, but laced with a dangerous warning.

I saw all Will's emotion and color draw back from his face all at once, and a hard punch to my arm was received by my sister who was to my right.

"Don't be a jerk, Damon! You know the effect you have on people! Will is my mate! He is perfect!" Maggie exclaimed throwing her hands in the air for emphasis.

"Calm down, sis. It was just a fair warning." I smirked at her, while she let out a frustrated sigh.

Before anyone could change the subject, one of the servants set down my omelette and a large glass of Orange Juice. She walked away immediately, and I never spared her a glance. She's human of course. I picked up my fork, cut a piece of my omelette, and shoved it into my mouth. I was in pure bliss. My sister was the one to break the awkward silence.

"The Sterling Ball is coming up. And you Damon, have not found your mate yet. Are you excited at all? What if your mate is human? We all know how much you despise such creatures."

I have thought of this scenario before, but I tried not to think about it too much. I would start to get a headache after a while.

"If she is human, even though I would not prefer it, I would have to deal with it. I will learn to love her and her perfections as she will love me. She will be weaker than I expected her, but she will need to deal with my world. She will treat me with respect and be the perfect Luna and Queen for this kingdom." I replied, trying to convince myself as well as if what I was saying is true. I took another mouthful of my omelette.

My sister nodded her head, very satisfied with my answer. "Well, we don't even know for sure if she's human. She could be a vampire, or angel, or another werewolf. Just keep your eyes open, Damon."

I tried to keep the discussion off of me, so I turned to Will.
"So Will. I heard you're part of the crew that has to babysit the humans for the ball. How's that working out for you?"

He chuckled lowly, almost as if recalling a memory.

"It's very... Interesting. I deffinetly have a little spit-fire on my hands this time." He chuckled before continuing, "I'm dealing with one girl and her two brothers. I did some research on them before hand, but nothing brought me to prepare for the attitude of the little lady though. She may be trouble. Gorgeous for a human." He laughs as if this is a joke to him. He reaches both hands behind his head and relaxes in his chair. "Some human standing up to a werewolf. She deffinetly is something else..."

I turn my full attention towards him now, suddenly curious about the human. "Don't you have officers to accompany you with this family? What are their names?" I questioned, wanting to know answers.

Will stared at me wide-eyed, surprised I suddenly have interest in his work. "Well, I am working with Soldier Adam and Soldier Steven. Two very good men, sir. Personal friends of mine, you might know them."

I nod my head, knowing both of the men that Will is talking about. Both are very good at their job.

"And we are working with the family of Dennis and Caroline Stray. The two sons being Jacob Stray and Micheal Stray. And lastly, the daughter being Annabelle Stray. Her brothers are very over-protective of her, yet she has a very unpredictable attitude." He explained.

A spark rose in my stomach when he said her name. Was I getting sick? Wait. Werewolves don't get sick. Then what was that?

"Annabelle Stray..." I whispered under my breath. "What a unique name." I love the way it sounded coming out of my mouth. It was perfect.

"Speaking of Annabelle, Maggie was going to come to meet the family.. I thought it would be better for Annabelle to have a woman to help her get ready for the ball, and Maggie gladly took the position. So Maggie will be working with us for the two weeks we have them and she will try to tame Annabelle." Will stared directly in Maggie's eyes while he told me this news. Both their eyes held so much love and passion for eachother that I felt another wave of jealousy pulse through me.

"If you stopped sleeping with sluts, then when we find our mate it could be like that." My wolf spoke up for the first time since I woke up.

"I thought you were mad at me so we weren't talking." I answered back, guilt in my voice.

"I still am. I just want to let you know what it could be like." And with that, I couldn't reach him. He cut me off again.

I snapped back to reality to see Will and Maggie still gazing into eachother's eyes.

"Are you sure Mags? You think you'll be able to stand a human? You're a princess! You don't usually handle this sort of stuff!" I was concerned for my sister at this point.

She snapped her gaze to me and sighed in annoyance. "I can take care of myself, Damon. Annabelle and I will become great friends and I'll help her through everything! She needs a woman in this situation! And she needs to learn how to act around royalty! Its a great opportunity! Plus, I get to spend more time with my mate? How great is that?" She giggled at the last part and Will started to blush.

I smiled and realized I needed to trust my sister on this one. She wasn't going to back down, and I didn't have the energy to fight a battle I knew I couldn't win.

"Well, fine then. But this human better be in tip-top shape for the Sterling Ball. I want to meet her. I have a feeling she is someone that will be very, very important." I commanded with a smirk clear on my face.

"Oh, don't you worry, Prince Damon. I will make sure Annabelle will never get out of this one." He replied, obviously smirking as well.

Well Annabelle, you're sure on for a ride, Sweetheart.
