deathwatch
the deathwatch is ticking;
can you hear it?
tick, tock
softly clicking
yet louder than that old
grandfather clock downstairs;
it doesn't chime,
but with every passing hour
something changes in the air around
it.
deathwatch
the deathwatch is ticking;
can you hear it?
tick, tock
everything will end one day
in one way or
another;
but while we're still here
why worry about that?
just live life the best you
can.
deathwatch
the deathwatch is ticking;
can you hear it?
tick, tock
our breaths are limited, perhaps;
but that's alright. in the end,
we'll still have lived - existed - left some kind of
mark, imprint, scar; and that's
what everybody
wants.
deathwatch
the deathwatch is ticking;
can you hear it?
tick, tock
stop living in the ruins of
yesterday. learn and remember,
then move on.
turn the page,
and step into a new world of
new possibilities - chances - choices - and
hope.
