The year was 2003. The rain was pouring hard and it was difficult to see.  The earth was melting under the poised Black Ops agent. Taegun Pryce was assigned with his team on a reconnaissance mission on a possible contributor to the 9/11 attacks, Jamal Mushad.  This man was suspected to have helped equip the terrorists with weapons.  He has also been linked to various other terrorist attacks around the world, and is wanted in seven countries.  Mushad was currently in Thailand, where he as meeting up with other terrorist cells to plan another surprise attack on America.  Taegun’s mission was to spy on Mushad and record any dealings he made with the other terrorists and if necessary assassinate one of the most dangerous international criminals.

“Target 120 meters east of my position, over” said Taegun.

“Roger, Delta 12.  Hold your position and report any changes, over” replied Command.

Taegun had him in his sights; innocent lives could sleep easier knowing a man responsible for the loss of their loved ones was finally put down.

“Oh, I wish I could pull the trigger” said Roy.

Roy was Taegun’s closest friend.  Life in the shadows can turn a person insane without someone to relate too.  Roy was able to help Taegun deal with the stress of their occupation.   Taking the life of another human being can be one of the easiest and at the same time, hardest task imaginable.  It is difficult to take a life, but the problem rises when pulling the trigger becomes too easy.  There was no help for these men.  Taegun and hundreds of others were left to deal with the nightmares they created on their own.  That is why Roy is so valuable to Taegun.  Roy has overcome the nightmares and Taegun is trying to learn how.

“Command, we have movement” reported Roy.

“Mushad is apparently getting in an argument with his new buddies. I can’t tell what they are saying Command, but Mushad looks pissed” said Taegun.

Taegun could see Mushad get in the face of what looks to be the leader of the syndicate, right then a shot could be heard from the house.

“Command, there are shots going off, orders?!” asked Roy.

Mushad and his men had just shot everybody in the room and were making their escape.

“Delta 12, move in on the target, take out his guards but bring back Mushad alive!” replied Command.

The team packed up the gear and headed towards the house.  Delta 12 was 30 feet from the house before it exploded.  It seems that Mushad didn’t think ahead when he shot his new friends.  Taegun was hurt pretty badly and was lying 5 feet away from Roy.

  “Taegun!” Roy gasped

“You need to get out of here” Roy ordered.

“Not without you sir” Taegun replied.

“There is no room for discussion soldier” Roy retorted back.

Roy then kicked Taegun down into a deep ditch, where Taegun couldn’t be seen.  The remainders of the squad were getting back up, right when Mushad’s men shot them down.  Taegun could see Mushad’s burnt corpse being pulled out of the house by one of his men.  The mission was a failure; all the information that could have been gathered on Mushad was lost.  Worst of all Taegun had to witness it all.  Roy sacrificed himself so that Taegun could live, but Taegun couldn’t go back to his country as a failure.  He then agreed within himself that he died along with the rest of his team.  No loose ends, which is what the CIA taught him.  He was on his own now, he was finally alone.
