_______________{The Battle of Hogwarts}_______________

I raced down the hall, my heart pounding, sweat pouring down my face and getting into my eyes, causing me to stumble around semi-blindly.  I stopped at the side of my brother.  Percy was shouting and battling a Death Eater.  But, suddenly, before I could scream, the world exploded, and I was thrown back.

Right away, I jumped back on my feet, though my head resisted in any sudden movement whatsoever.  But as I did so, I heard someone shriek, "No! Fred! No!"

I turned in that direction to see a body lying motionless on the ground, their red hair matted down on their forehead with sweat and debris.  And Percy was over there in a second, lying across his chest to protect him from harm.  Like that would do him any good.

I heard everyone shouting at Percy to get off, and I saw Ron trying to pry him off of his brother's dead body, but it was doing him no good.

I stared at the sight, my eyes burning with tears that, for some reason, would not come out.  Just as a choking noise came out of my mouth, Hermione's high-pitched scream came from behind me and snapped me out of my reverie.

I twirled on my heel and saw a giant spider crawling through a window.  One of Aragog's children, I guessed.  I couldn't help the blood-curdling scream that came out of my mouth.

What?  I HATE spiders. . .

I watched as it flew back, thrown by my brother's and Ron's spells.  I squealed again in horror as I watched more climbing on the building.  Harry shot Stunning Spells at them. And some of them fell down into oblivion.

And with curses flying from behind us, we took off.  Harry and Percy snatched up Fred's body, dragging him with us.  They hid Fred and once he was out of sight, we all took off again.

Hermione dragged me and everyone else behind a tapestry.  I didn't really hear anything they were saying.  I couldn't hear anything they were saying.

It was then I realized that the blast had caused me to go deaf in one ear.  I tapped Harry's shoulder in panic, but he didn't turn.  He was too in depth in conversation with Hermione and Ron to take notice of me grasping my right ear, suddenly feeling the warmth of blood flowing from it.

"Harry. . . " I tried whispering, though it pained me to speak at all.  I gave it a try to clear my throat, hoping that maybe it might make it hurt less to talk, but a sudden rush of blood choked me and I was coughing it up.

I coughed into my sleeve and when I pulled back, I saw it was now tie-dyed with red liquid.  This must've caught everyone's attention because I felt Harry's hands on my shoulder and I heard him saying things to me, but it sounded like mumbles to me.

"I'm alright," I choked out, before my throat swelled up just enough so I couldn't talk and I could barely breathe.   I looked up and instantly met his eyes.  He nodded once.

And then, I blacked out.

_______________{A few minutes later}_______________

I felt hands shaking me and I was woken abruptly.  I sat up in time for the tapestry on top of the staircase we were perched on to be ripped open, revealing two Death Eaters.

"POTTER!" one of them yelled.  Raising their wands, I reached for mine, but, all of a sudden, Hermione shouted something and the stairs were intantly flattened and it was a chute.

We were thrown down and through a tapestry in the bottom.  Hermione pointed at the sleeves of fabric and with a shout, they were turned to stone.  I heard a thump and  I knew that the Death Eaters had ran into them.

A few seconds later, the Cloak was thrown over us and we were invisible.  I looked over and saw Dean and Parvati dueling Dolohov and Travers, two Death Eaters.

And, for a reason unknown to me, I blacked out again.

 _______________{A few minutes after that}_______________

I was shaken awake again, though not as rough and desperate as before.  But instead of meeting the eyes of Harry, Ron or Hermione, I met cold, watery gray ones.

"Draco?" I whimpered.

He smiled lightly and, before I could react, he pressed his lips to mine.  They crushed my own and, unlike how he woke me, the kiss was desperate.

Like it was the last kiss we would ever share.

And, for all I knew, it would be.

Okay, I know, not that interesting.  And I lied.  This isn't the last chappie, obviously. . .  But, yeah, I think that I will have a few more battle chappies and then a short epilogue after this.  And then, after that, though I will take a few weeks off, I will start the sequel!!!  But don't you worry because I promise that the next upload will not be a week from now.  It'll probably be done on Wednesday!!!

So remember, vote and stuff!! I love you all!!!
