Your walking through a forest
Leaves crunching under your feet
And twigs snapping every now and then
The wind softly whistles through the trees
You come to a clearing
And then there's silence
All you can hear is the calm beating of your heart
You look around
A dozen shades of green look back
You wait
For a voice, leaves crunching, footsteps
A sound, something, anything
But it remains silent
Calm at first but the constant silence is becoming creepy
Anxiety and fear pulse through your veins
You run as though the forest has stuck fire
Coming back to where you started you realized how foolish it was
Running and screaming through the forest for what?
Nothing was chasing you, nothing was there
Just silence and your own mind
