I pulled away from Paula's house when I saw her go inside. I looked at Tara in my rear view as I headed to take her home.

"So you just gone sit up in my car with an attitude and not speak.?"

She was quiet.

"You know I'm only looking out for you."

"By cockblockin?" She responded without looking back at me.

"What the hell you know about cockblockin?" I asked being serious.

"I'm sixteen auntie not twelve."

"You say sixteen like like its eighteen."

"I know about it okay. I do have mature friends."

"You mean friends that are hot in the draws? There is a difference sweetie."

"Yeah but I really liked him auntie and the way you rolled up on us was embarrasing."

"And you think I couldnt tell by the way you two were hugged up in that corner."

"We werent doin nun.."

"You weren't?" I asked being sarcastic.

"No."

"So you call kissing nothing? I mean if I hadnt walked up when I did you probably wouldve spead it eagle on that damn table."

"I got plenty morals and better common sense than that."

"I hope so. Just because a guy tells you youre pretty or youre fine dont mean you got to give up the goods. Shit you already know you look good.. dont you?"

"Yes, I know that auntie."

"Okay then. Dont fall for no weak ass games. You better than that. Aint no weak bone in you boo."

She laughed.

"So now you giving me the sex talk? Just so you know I already had that talk with moms."

"Good. That makes my job way more easier." I said as I pulled up on the curve in front of the house and cut the car off.

"Thank you for the girls day out auntie."

"No problem baby. You know I love you. We gone have to do this again oneday.. without me having to stop you from being in heat." I said as I looked at her with a side eye.

"Very funny." She responded as she opened the door.

"Get on in the house now. You make sure you call me if you need me."

"Okay auntie. See you later." She said as she closed the door and jogged into the house.

When she made it inside, I pulled off and headed home.

I pulled up in my driveway and got out. I slipped off my shoes as I walked in the house, tossing my keys on the counter. I adjusted the tempeture on the thermostat and walked to the bedroom. It was 11:20pm and I was worn out.

I ran a hot bath as I stripped down and skimmed through my phone. I had stuck it in the bottom of my purse and didnt answer any calls or texts all day while I was with Tara and Paula. I swiped the do not disturb switch on my phone to off and all of my messages and calls came through.

I saw that Rick had texted earlier but I was in no mood to deal with him today. I had other calls from my assistant and previous contractors but when I scrolled past an unnamed text and read the contents, realizing who it was..I forgot about all the other people who tried to reach me.

(112)555-3247: I enjoyed having drinks with you the other night. Maybe we can get together again. 5:20pm

I responded to his message.

Me: Sorry I'm responding so late but I'd like that alot. 11:25pm

I sent the message and saved his number in my contacts.

De'Wayne: It's aight. I understand youre a busy woman.. but you have a good night beautiful. 11:27pm

Me: You too. ;) 11:29pm

I sat my phone down on the counter beside the sink as I turned the water off and stepped into the tub, letting my body sink down up under the hot water. I couldnt help but think about De'Wayne as I took my bath. I could already tell I was about to go to sleep with a smile on my face.

The rays beamed in through the windows, waking me up early on a Monday morning. I slid out of bed and headed to the bathroom for my usual routine.

I dressed in a printed pencil skirt and an off the shoulder top. I did my makeup and styled my hair into big curls as I slipped on my pumps and headed out the door.

Today I was going to sign the deed to my lot where my building would be and I couldnt help but be thrilled at the progress that was being made.

I parked in the parking lot of the courthouse and walked in. My heels clicked against the tile floor as I walked to the assigned office. I opened the door and walked up to the front desk to inform the clerk of my appointment and who I was meeting with. She informed me on the waiting time and told me to have a seat in one of the chairs. I did as told.

I sat there for about thirty minutes waited to be seen. I was beginning to get irritated but as soon as I was about to get up and ask the clerk what the hold up was, the door leading to the back swung open. I watched with crossed legs as a black woman with shades on walked through the door. The way she walked through the place with her shades on irritated me even more. I mean why the hell was she wearing shades in the building? Aint no sun in here girl. A few seconds later the door opened again.

"Mrs. Rogers, you can go on back. Just go down the hall and its the last door on your left." I heard the clerk say.

I rose up from my seat and headed to the door but was stopped in my tracks when I bumped into De'Wayne.

"Hey, What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I could ask you the same thing. You look really nice might I add." He responded looking me up and down.

"Thank you. You dont look bad yourself, and I'm here to sign the deed for my lot."

"Really. I just signed off on the dance studio that I showed you. The lady who walked out earlier is the owner.. maybe you saw her.. she had shades on.."

"Yea, I saw her." I responded as I rolled my eyes.

He chuckled lightly.

"So when are we going to get together again?" He asked in a low tone.

I smiled.

"You dont give up do you De'Wayne?"

"Not at all. Expecially when a beauty like yourself is involved. So what do you say?"

"How about this weekend?"

"I got to wait all week to see your face again?"

"Good things come to those who wait.." I responded seductively as I winked and walked away from him, heading down the hall.
