Page 1 - Vowels (Plain or Basic)

aam, so .. I dont know where to start pero sana maintindihan niyo how I write the words okay?

Here, in English, meron tayong 5 vowels diba? Pero in Korean's different. They have 21 vowels. Diba ang dami? So, I need a very focus attention para malaman ang differences ng mga letters. Let's start sa plain and easy.

ㅏ - a (pronounced as 'a' in father)

ㅔ - e ('ai' in main)

ㅣ - i ('ee' meet)

ㅗ - o ('o' in poke)

ㅜ - u ('u' in boot)

Ayan. Yan ang basic vowels. Pero in writing Hangul, merong rules na sinusunod. When you write these vowels in the first place, make sure you have to put first the "placeholder".

ㅇ - Placeholder

So magiging ganito na siya ;

아 - a

에 - e

이 - i

오 - o

우 - u

Clear? Eto example..

familiar with the word 'annyeonghaseyo'?

you have to write it like this,

안녕하세요 - Hello

(Don't mind muna sa other letters. Focus on the vowel muna. Pupunta rin tayo dyan. And, sa placeholder rin po muna tayo focused, may other use rin kasi ang placeholder eh)

Kita niyo yung first letter? So kapag ang mga vowels na yan ay nasa unahan, kailangan may placeholder. Kailangan na kailangan talaga. Pero what if, yung mga vowels ay in between sa ibang letters? Let's try this example,

saranghae - 사랑해

Pansin niyo na walang placeholder diba? yan din ang rules. Kapag may nauna na consonant, wapakels na yung placeholder. At kahit na may placeholder ang vowel, same pronounciation pa rin.Okay? PERO! may pero na naman. Pero what if ganito,

minam - 민암

Kita niyo yung sa ikalawang part o yung second syllable kung baga, may placeholder. It's because the root word is 'min' the followed by a verb. Gets niyo?

Okay, let's proceed sa other basic vowels.

ㅡ - eu (pronuonced as 'u' in pull)

ㅐ- ae ('e' in ending)

ㅓ- eo ('o' in son)

[ A/N; Yung sa loob ng parenthesis, examples yan on how you pronounce the vowels. ]

Examples.

neun - 는

Yung sa middle part ng syllable is the vowel 'eu'.

saranghae - 사랑해

In the last part, the H-shape is the vowel 'ae'.

Okay, ito rin ba kailangan lagyan ng placeholder sa unahan? So, as I said, kapag ang MGA VOWELS ay nasa unahan, KAILANGAN lagyan.

Examples:

eupeun - 읍은

As you can see, dahil nga nasa first na first yung vowel 'eu' natin, ay nilagyan natin cea ng placeholder. Same as sa kanyang 2nd syllable, dahil nga yung 'eup' is the root word natin.

Arasseo? -(알았어?) Understand?

Sana naintindihan niyo guys, comment kung gusto pa ituloy. Don't hesitate to ask questions okay?
