Once there lived a princess
Her castle was gleaming white
It lie on a hill by a valley
Slightly hidden but also in sight
She lived with her family
The queen and the king
She had no pets or friends
She had no siblings
High up in her tower
It seemed like she wanted to leave
But she actually liked the solitude
It gave her room and space to breathe
Though many tried to rescue her
She sent them all away
For in her gleaming castle
Forever she would stay
She was not very lonely
But lonely did she feel
She would never make new friends
She could never live real
There were secrets she kept hidden
Things that know one knew
like the fact that she was dying
of mysterious causes too
She would never get her first kiss
or ever fall in love
She would never have a wedding
With all the things she could dream of
She had no thoughts of traveling
She was content where her life was
She had accepted that she was sick
And what the sickness does
But then one day their eyes met
She could tell right away
That he was the one her heart claimed
But he could not stay
She refused to break his heart
She was also gaurding her own
Because she knew her fate
She wanted to leave him alone
But something made him different
And she decided to let him in
Her brain said no, her heart said yes
In the end she let her heart win
The king and queen were delighted
That this man had stolen her heart
They were worried she didn't have friends
They hoped this mysterious man was a start
Slowly they got to know each other
Then they became good friends
Then they started to fall in love
She started forgetting about her end
He made her laugh
He made her smile
He eased the pain
For a little while
He sang her to sleep
Held her when she was scared
he would do anything for her
Because he cared
He would give her the world
If it was his to give
Anything and everything
So together they could live
He took her dancing
And gazed at the stars
Time seemed to stop
He said "The time is ours"
But she didn't belong in this world anymore
Her time was soon to end
He wasn't aware that she was sick
Only so much longer could she could pretend
Her time was getting nearer
She did not know how to say goodbye
To the world, her parents, her love
But her time was coming to fly
Soon she could not leave her chambers
Her skin was pale as snow
The gleam in her eyes had died
It was now her time to go
He kneeled by her bedside
As she took her last breaths
He whipsered in her ear "I love you"
Then she was claimed by death
