Stood

I’m stood where we once stood

The way I felt that day

Well guess what?

That hasn’t changed.

My view’s different now

Some of its beauty hidden amongst the clouds

No longer bright and clear

It’s damp and grey nowadays

I stand in the same spot

I once was looking down at you on your one knee

Oh how times have changed

We’d have been married now

I’m stood in the same place when I got the news

You weren’t coming home

There’d be no more me and you

You were gone

One shot

A moment

It took everything away

As I stand here now I swear I can feel your presence

Am I out of my mind?

Maybe I am

But if being out of my mind makes me feel close to you

As if you’re still here

Then call my crazy and be done with it

I’m still stood in the place where you once stood.
