Star Gazing

23 2 1

Bathed in starlight

He stood still

Standing, staring

As long as he could

Touching his toes

Water rippled

The soft white sands

Gassed invitingly

A shimmer of moon light

Stretched far across,

The midnight blue sky

Holding wonders unexplored

The man, bare torso,

Reached up to the stars

And seemingly touched one

In the sky

The star seemed to glitter

And he who stood there,

Lit up like Christmas lights

Strung on the town hall

And any gasser at that moment

Would have realised,

This man, bare torso and all,

Was at one with the stars
