She stared at him, she couldn't help but think he looked familiar. She knew him from somewhere

"Uh hi..." She managed to say, pulling her robe tightly around herself, the way he was looking at her made her slightly uncomfortable.

"You're an amazing dancer" he told her, he mentally slapped himself

"Oh thanks..." She smiled politely,

"I'm Roman" he extended his hand, she nodded,

"Hi I'm-" she was cut off by someone coming in

"Your dad wants to see you" they told her, she silently thanked the heavens as she shrugged

"I've got to go" she told him, he looked disappointed,

"Will I see you around?" He asked, I hope not she thought,

"Uh maybe" she shrugged "bye!" She shut the door in his face. There was something about him that gave her a bad vibe,

"Rosalía Natia Reiher where are you?!" Her father Jimmy boomed from outside, she rolled her eyes but knew he meant buisness, not only had he used her middle name but he had used their actual last name instead of Snuka. She quickly changed into a nice traditional Samoan dress, her dad had chosen Navy blue to help her blend in, although it was hard, her mahogany hair stood out amongst all her dark haired cousins (aside from the ones who dyed their hair).

"Hi dad" she muttered nervously as she opened the door, he looked pissed.

"What were you wearing?!" He demanded, she looked at her bare feet, her toenails were painted a nice sea foam blue color.

"Traditional Samoan clothing..."

"You were half naked out there!" He growled, "the other girls weren't wearing that!"

"I wanted to stand out..." She muttered,

"Lía you stand out enough as it is!" He growled,

"That's not my fault" she sighed, his eyes softened as he cupped his youngest daughters cheek,

"Lía...I know it's been hard for you...your mothers death and having to come live with people who were strangers to you, but you're my daughter and I only want what's best for you." he explained, she continued to look down, he tilted her face up and smiled down at her "you look so much like your mother, but when I look in your eyes I see some of my fire in you"

"Really?" She asked surprised

"Yes really" he assured her, he gave her a hug, "and tonight's news will show just how much I care about you, have I told you that Natia is what I used to call your mother? It means hidden, she was my hidden treasure, and then I found out that we had you and you became my new treasure, and I want to make sure my treasure gets the best" she looked up at him questionably "but it will be a surprise, I finally got it through the council and we will announce it tonight" he smiled happily, "ok enjoy your night Lía," he turned to leave

"Dad..." It felt weird saying that word outloud she usually didn't refer to him that way only to other people or herself, she rarely called him dad to his face, he turned surprised, she cleared her throat "uhm...are Jimmy and Sarona coming tonight?" She asked, he smiled

"Your brother is here already and Sarona will be arriving shortly, she had some hold ups at the airport"

"Oh...ok" she nodded, she had gotten along well with her older brother the few times she had met him, back when he was still Deuce from Deuce and Domino, her relationship with Sarona was strained to nonexistent. Her dad shut the door and she looked at herself in the mirror, did she really look like her mother? She swept her thick hair up into a nice twist and added more mascara on her long thick lashes that framed her big brown grey eyes, she applied a nice peach rose lipstick to her lips and made sure her tattoos were covered before leaving the dressing room, not bothering to put shoes, she liked being barefoot, plus they were at a beach, she liked the feeling of sand between her toes. Her head swam with thoughts of what the news could be, she hoped so badly that it would be the news that she was finally FINALLY getting approval to move on to the indies. Her long dress swooshed and flapped around her ankles, she liked to look at her feet when she walked in case she saw pretty shells of which she could make things out of later, she hoped she wouldn't trip or lose her footing- she spoke too soon and stepped on a sharp rock causing her too lose her footing
