Youtube, the place I went to escape reality. Sadly, the last time I went on YouTube, all I saw was painful reality.
Le flashback
It was my two year anniversary with my boyfriend, Johnnie. I smiled at the box that I had wrapped for him containing the new camera that he had been dying for. No one knew about our relationship, and I was fine with that. I ddn't particularly care for the spotlight due to my shyness, but that was about to change.
We agreed that it was time to tell the world that we were dating. Which was why I got him the camera. I was ready and so was he. We weren't going to do it until tomorrow though, so I decided to open my laptop and go onto his collab channel.
I stopped at one particular video called I Have a Girlfriend?? ((I can't remember if it had question marks or not so whatevs lol)). I slowly clicked on it. It showed him and his friend Alex. The video seemed innocent enough, until he said the words, "We're dating." They talked bout how they had been dating for about a year.
My heart shattered. I covered my mouth as tears fell down my (s/c) cheeks. Picking up my phone, I dialed his number.
"Hey (y/n)! What's up?" He asked. I bit my lip and sniffled. "Hey? What's wrong? Is everything alright?" He asked.
"N-no....I know about you and Alex...." The line went quiet. "D-did you think I w-wouldn't find out? You posted it online! How could you?!" I heard sniffles from the other end.
"(Y/n) I am so sorry....I wanted to tell you tomorrow but Alex wanted to make this today and I just hoped you wouldn't see it...." I sighed softly.
"Johnnie...it's over...." I whispered and hung up. For the next twenty minutes, I sat in my room, ignoring all of the calls and texts from my now ex-boyfriend. Finally I picked up the phone and opened my texts.
Pressing the keyboard, I typed a single sentence that silenced him.
We simply aren't ment to be.....
