Resources
I sail the darkness,
searcher of stars,
and worlds estate.
Signals of spectrum,
richness of resource,
presence of atmosphere combine,
and lead me sunwise to a world.
Within stationary orbit,
tantalised by magnetic fields,
I observe the formulation,
as AI integrates the cascade of data.
Simulation of tectonics,
projections of deposition,
estimates of resources;
history upon record,
fills the imagineering model.
What now of this worlds formation
over eons of geological time?
What now of the recombining
proteins of replication,
forever driven by the knife
of natural selection.
Of the water cycle eroding,
and aggregating simultaneously.
Of mineral depostion and the
titration of a worlds purity.
Of my exploration bringing others,
and a planets death?
